About the Foundation
In short we exists to glorify God by serving and supporting the local church.
The Karr family is a member of Breccia di Roma in Rome, Italy. Godly and biblical leadership has taught them to love and serve the body of Christ and recognize its centrality in God’s plan of salvation for those who don’t know Christ as Savior. Kyra recognized this and, therefore, dedicated her life to serving the church through working and praying for its growth and multiplication in Rome, Italy and beyond.
The KKF recognizes and embraces the reality that apart from our Italian partners and their invaluable leadership and input, the efforts and resources of the KKF risk misuse and the possibility of jeopardizing the vision and mission of the Foundation and its supporters. Therefore, every financial and strategic decision that the KKF makes is in partnership with our Italian partners and is based on their suggestions and guidance. No one knows the needs of the local church better than the Italian leaders that the Lord has called to lead it. Their understanding of the culture and people, which the KKF desires to reach with the gospel, are crucial in knowing how to best equip and support the church. The specific ways in which the KKF supports and equips the local church vary and change with time and depend on the changing needs of the church. However the initiatives pages of this website will give you a clear idea of how the KKF is currently serving and supporting the local church. The KKF believes that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). We affirm that there is salvation in no one else but the name of Jesus Christ, “for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Furthermore, the KKF declares as true the Apostle Paul’s words to the Ephesians when he says, “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” We are all offered the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. This is the Gospel message. It is the message that Kyra dedicated her life to sharing, and it is the message the KKF is committed to advancing in her memory and ultimately for the glory of God.
