Your generosity at work – Children’s book translated into Italian

Posted on January 21, 2019 by clay kannard

Hello Everyone!

We are so grateful and thankful to see how the Lord continues to provide new opportunities for the KKF to invest into the spread of the gospel and Kingdom expansion in Italy. Of course, these opportunities are possible because of your prayers, and your generous support and giving. One of the most recent projects we were able to sponsor was the translation of Kevin Deyoung’s book, The Biggest Story: How the Snake Crusher Brings Us Back to the Garden, into Italian.

In The Biggest Story, Kevin DeYoung—a best-selling author and father of six—leads kids and parents alike on an exciting journey through the Bible, connecting the dots from the garden of Eden to Christ’s death on the cross to the new heaven and new earth.

With powerful illustrations by award-winning artist Don Clark, this imaginative retelling of the Bible’s core message—how the Snake Crusher brings us back to the garden—will draw children into the biblical story, teaching them that God’s promises are even bigger and better than we think.

In celebration of the publication of this beautiful Gospel resource, the new church plant, Breccia di Roma San Paolo, hosted a book release party and showing of the animated version of the book, accompanied by a live narration in Italian. We had several new children and their parents attend this event.

Please join us in prayer that God would use this book in several ways:

  1. May it be an encouragement to the Italian evangelical church

  2. May it be a useful discipleship tool in the hands of Italian evangelical parents

  3. May it be used to communicate the Gospel to Italian families who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior

Once again, thank you for being a part of God’s work to the people of Italy. God is building His church here, and we are so thankful that God has provided us with the opportunity to be a part of it together with you.

Joe and Reid
