Hello Everyone!

You are no doubt aware that Italy as been at the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic for a few weeks now. Italy has also experienced the highest death rate, due largely to its aging population. No one has been left unaffected by the pandemic. Strict quarantine will continue until at least April 18th, at which point a further evaluation will be made. There are, however, some encouraging statistics that are beginning to emerge that indicate a continuing decline in new infections. We pray that continues.

The KKF has recently partnered with the Italian Evangelical Alliance to provide much needed help for many families impacted by COVID 19. Businesses in all sectors have been closed for weeks, and the economic toll is heavy and severe. Aside from the many negative aspects of the virus, it is providing and opportunity for the church to respond to the needs of Italians all across the country, and especially to believers heavily effected by the pandemic.

Together with the Italian Evangelical Alliance, the KKF is thankful to have the opportunity to provide help in this time of great need. Because of the generosity of you, our supporters, we are in a position to help those who need it most. Those who would like to request economic help will do so through the local church, and each request will then be evaluated by members of the Evangelical Alliance and the KKF.

The project is called “A mustard seed in time of the coronavirus.”

“And he (Jesus) said, ‘With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.'” (Mark 4: 30-32)

Our prayer is that the Lord would similarly bless this project and initiative, and that he would receive all the glory.

We anticipate the requests to be plentiful, and we can only respond to them as long as we have the means to do so. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please make a donation online, and indicate COVID-19, and we will be sure your gift goes to the efforts explained here.
