New Church Plant Near the Vatican!

We are excited to share the news that the new church plant Breccia di Roma Prati celebrated its first worship service yesterday! The Karr and Costagliola families moved to the neighborhood of Prati in the summer of 2021 in order to get established and begin getting to know the neighborhood and the people who live there better. The Karrs were sent by their church Breccia di Roma San Paolo, and the Costagliolas by their church Breccia di Roma. Now a new Breccia di Roma exists in the neighborhood of Prati, a stone's throw from the Vatican. Praise the Lord for this! Thank you for all your prayers in the months leading up to the celebration of the first service, and now we ask you to continue praying as now the grind begins of being the church and serving the community and proclaiming the gospel on a regular basis. Please pray that the Lord will bless the preaching of His Word, that He will give us wisdom in the evangelistic activities we plan, and that many people will come to know Christ as Lord and Savior.

The first service was blessed by approximately 60 people in attendance! Many from our sister churches in Rome came to encourage us and show their support, along with many other brothers and sisters in Christ from other churches around Italy. Of that number more than 10 were nonbelievers, so we praise the Lord for that! It was encouraging to see people we have met in Prati over the last year and who don't know the Lord come, and it was also encouraging to hear their comments about the experience afterwards.

Next Sunday will present a different reality, one that will be more representative as we move forward. The many who came to celebrate the first service will return to their churches. Will our friends and neighbors that we have met in the course of the last year, but that don't know the Lord, return? Or will their presence prove to be a gesture friendship and support but nothing more? Please pray that the Holy Spirit is at work in their hearts. In any case, the mission of the church remains the same. By God's grace we will faithfully preach His Word and proclaim the gospel to our neighbors. Please join us in praying that the Lord will be at work to do great things through Breccia di Roma Prati. Please continue to pray for Breccia di Roma and Breccia di Roma San Paolo as well. May God do miraculous works and to Him be all the glory.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers. From a long distance it is difficult to see and understand how your support is making a difference, but praise the Lord it is! So again, thank you! It was very much appreciated.

Enjoy a few photos from the first service, seen below.

To God be all the glory,
