Happy Thanksgiving! (And 3 quick updates)

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from the Kyra Karr Foundation! We pray you have a wonderful day with family and that the Lord keeps you safe and blesses your time together.

It is a great occasion to express our gratitude to all of you and for your support of the Kyra Karr Foundation and its ministry endeavors. We are very thankful for you.

We also want to share three quick and important updates with you:

1) In November Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cartersville, Georgia had a missions weekend to support its missionaries and their ministry, and the KKF was able to share a little about what is going on in Italy currently, and many of you generously purchased items the KKF had for sell, which directly supports our ministry in Italy. Thank you for your support, and we thank TBC for their support as well!

2) Secondly, we want to share with you an excellent new resource that our good friend and partner in ministry Leonardo De Chirico has recently written. It is a book that helps Evangelicals understand the differences between Evangelicalism and Roman Catholicism. The book is called Same Words, Different Worlds: Do Roman Catholics and Evangelicals Believe the Same Gospel? The book highlights how Evangelicals and Roman Catholics share a similar vocabulary, but those words mean very different things, which in the end present very different gospels. It is a great resource and we highly recommend it. You can purchase it on Amazon.

Lastly, and remaining with the themes of books and excellent resources, Katie Smith - a close friend of Kyra’s and the KKF - recently wrote a book that deals with the important topic of anxiety. It is called Antidote to Anxiety: A Road to Fearless Faith. In the book Katie shares her experience with dealing with Kyra’s passing, and many other personal experiences. Anxiety impacts us all, and Katie does a great job of discussing the difference between stress and anxiety, dealing with heartache that is a result of death, betrayal and being isolated. Technology is also a huge source of anxiety today, and Katie recognizes the strongholds and influence it has over our thoughts. Most importantly she underscores the hope that we all have when dealing with anxiety. It too comes highly recommended, and can be purchased here.

Thank you again for you support, and Happy Thanksgiving!
